Soft skills and Foreign Language Teacher
Responsibilities
- Teaching at least two of the following courses or similar: Professional development, Digital Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Marketing, AI, Public Speaking, Cybersecurity, Web Development, Basic accounting, Mental Health, Health Club, etc. at the Center in Tunis five days a week with breaks, Monday to Friday.
- Teaching English or Spanish or French or German at different levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) at the Center in Tunis five days a week with breaks, Monday to Friday.
- Workers should be able to work with young people or adults. You would typically expect your class size to range from 12 to 20 students.
- Mingling with local people out of classes hours is expected to create friendship.
- During times of registration, the volunteer may be called to help at registration work.
Qualifications
- We are looking for people with one or more of the following abilities: Marketing, Education coordination, Class preparation, Social events planning with the students, Participate in strategic planning for the institution, etc. Volunteer Teachers will be able to utilize the resources provided. The Center is designed to operate within: Group Classes, Conversation classes, Cine Club and professional/tourism excursions.
Attire
- Smart Casual attire is encouraged for work. Women: Dresses or skirts below the knee; jeans, capris, or dress pants; blouses, t-shirts, etc. Men: Jeans, slacks, dress shirts or t-shirts.
- Unacceptable Dress: Women: Nothing above the knee - no spaghetti strap/ sheer/low cut blouses, shirts or dresses. Men: No shorts for work, but shorts are acceptable outside on outside social activities.
Accommodations
A private room in a furnished shared apartment will be provided for single people. Volunteers.
Living There
- Tunisia is a top tourist destination that offers a unique blend of history, culture, natural beauty, delicious cuisine, affordability, and warm hospitality. Tunis is also known for its golden beaches, sunny weather, and unique blend of Arab and Berber cultures and influence. Tunisians enjoy celebrating hundreds of international film, theatre, and music festivals, nationally, regionally, and locally. The country is famous for beautiful pottery, ironwork, and mosaics.
Included
- Initial flight ticket to workplace from home country and then Roundtrip Flight ticket for annual leave for every year of work. (Yearly Annual leave is determined in 30 calendar days).
- Corporative SIM card charged monthly with 30 TND for Internet and Communication.
- Lodging.
All costs related to residence expenses will be covered by the Center.
Not Included
- Health related expenses such as vaccines and tests.
Any travel for personal interest inside Tunis or outside Tunis is at personal expense.

Compensation
- The stipend for a teacher is 1,200 TND (around $400 but paid and calculated in Tunisian dinars).
- Worker will get an extra 100 TND for transportation.
- ADRA reimburses 60% of the utility bills you need to pay in your apartments (gas, electricity, and water).
We hire ARM emergency medical insurance, which includes evacuation and major emergencies. We also provide a 75% reimbursement on small medical expenses.
