Language or Hard/Soft skills Teacher
Responsibilities
- Teaching languages (Either English, German, Spanish, Italian) at different levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) or hard/soft skills (IT, software, management etc) at an Urban Center of Influence five days a week with breaks, Monday to Friday.
- Workers should be able to work with young people or adults. You would typically expect your class size to range from 12 to 15 students.
- Mingling with local people out of class hours is expected in order to create friendship and discipleship bonds for the Kingdom of God.
- The volunteer is expected to be involved and help out at the local church on a weekly basis.
During times of registration, the volunteer may be called for registration work.
Qualifications
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Degree in the field of course given (English, German, IT etc).
- We are also looking for people with any or some of the following abilities:
- Marketing
- Departmental coordination
- Class preparation
- Social events planning with the students
- Participate in strategic planning for the institution.
Attire
Smart Casual attire is encouraged for work.
- Women: Dresses or skirts below the knee; jeans, capris, or dress pants; blouses, t-shirts, etc.
- Men: Jeans, slacks, dress shirts or t-shirts.
Unacceptable Dress:
- Women: Nothing above the knee - no spaghetti strap/ sheer/low cut blouses, shirts or dresses.
- Men: No shorts for work, but shorts are acceptable outside on outside social activities.
Accommodations
A private room in a furnished shared apartment will be provided for single people.

The country is famous for beautiful pottery, ironwork, and mosaics.
Included
- Initial flight ticket to workplace from home country and then Roundtrip Flight ticket for annual leave for every year of work. (Yearly Annual leave is determined in 30 calendar days).
- Corporative SIM card charged monthly with 30 TND for Internet and Communication.
- Lodging.
- All costs related to residence expenses will be covered by the center of Influence.
Not Included
- Health related expenses such as vaccines and tests.
- Any travel for personal interest inside Tunisia or outside Tunisia is at personal expense.
Restrictions
No child accommodations available.
Compensation
- The salary for a teacher is 1,200 TND (around $400 but paid and calculated in dinars).
- Worker will get an extra 100 TND for transportation.
- The Center of Influence reimburses 60% of the utility bills you need to pay in your apartments (gas, electricity, and water).
We hire ARM emergency medical insurance, which includes evacuation and major emergencies. We also provide a 75% reimbursement on small medical expenses
Additional
It is important to be sensitive to and abide by the cultural norms.
Interviews will be conducted with local coordinator, NAR directors and MENAU psychologist before acceptance.
