Responsibilities
- Examining patients teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues
- Utilizing X-rays and computer generated imaging to assist with examinations
- create detailed treatment plans for patients
- Providing dental treatments to patients, including routine cleaning ,extractions, dental fillings, cavity and tooth decay treatment, teeth whitening, bonding and applications of dental crowns, caps and veneers
- Provide patient care for cracked and jaw diagnoses
- Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues
- Educating patients on good oral hygiene practices
- Perform oral cancer screening
- Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications to patients as required
- Ensuring that all dental instruments and equipments are sterilized before each use
- taking impressions of patients' mouths for the fabrication of customised mouth guards and dentures.
Qualifications
- Minimum education Preferred: Degree in Dentistry or Equivalent
- Specialism in oral surgery will be an added advantage
- At least five years work experience of practice
- strong Computer skills and experience with healthcare databases and applications
- willingness to comply to all church, government, local laws regarding dental and health care.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to keep detailed records.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools and diagnositics
- good management skills
- Languages: English (fluent) required.

- Acceptable Dress: the volunteer is required to dress modestly and comfortably for the responsility as outlined.

Restrictions
- For logistical reasons , this assignment is available to a couple.( if both are dentists or one is a dental assistant. ( this is the first condition for acceptance)
- However, single applicants are also welcome
Compensation
- Monthly living allowance: USD $1400
Additional
- All visa expenses (locally) will be shouldered by the calling organisation.
