Responsibilities

  • Conducts sports training in the school
  • Conduct Soccer training as a social program
  • Support chaplain in organizing of nonformal meetings with children and teenagers
  • Conduct small devotionals before the soccer club training
  • Be open to support another school’s social activities
  • Punctuality and dependability is a must
  • Conduct that reflects courteousness, patience, professionalism and respect for all religions and cultures
  • Monitor the progress of students with a high standard of expectations
  • Ability to manage a group of people
  • Building personal relationships

Qualifications

  • Spiking a good English
  • Russian language is a big advantage but not condition
  • Developed sports skills with the emphasis on soccer
  • A degree or a certificate in sports are very benefitial but not conditional
  • Knowledge in general sports training. Ability to organize a phisical training
  • Ability to manage students of different age groups
  • Punctual and dependable

Attire

Kyrgyzstan is both a modern and conservative country with a mainly Muslim culture. Even though it is possible to find different kinds of dress among young people it is preferable to have a modest style. The school does not have a uniform for its students and workers.

Accommodations

  • Housing is provided on SUAC Campus. There is a room with a bed, closet, table, and chair. Depending on the situation in the dormitory, a shower and a toilet will be provided on the floor or a little apartment.

Living There

The school is located on a countryside, close to the Tokmok City and 60 kilometers away from the capital. There are many options to visit beautiful places in the natural close to the school, such as mountain valleys, rivers, hot springs and lakes. The dormitory is located on a campus of the School. Near the school there are different grocery stores, pharmacies, supermarkets and other necessary places.

Restrictions

The volunteer has to be a regular SDA church member in good standing. Lifestyle should represent the values of the Adventist church in the best way, including total restriction on alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and others. Several rules in the dormitory need to be taken into consideration.
