Living There
Serving as a missionary in Palau comes with great responsibility and high expectations. Not only does the role of missionary include being an effective teacher/educator, but also the expectation to excel socially and spiritually with everyone that the missionary will encounter. A Christ-like attitude and spiritual maturity must be evident during your stay. It is expected that a missionary must make an intentional effort to understand the mindset and culture of the island. Upon being accepted to serve in Palau, you will be joining a FAMILY. In this family everyone has a role. Some of those roles are clearly defined but others may not be. In this unique family everyone must be flexible. Because of the changing needs of our schools, be ready to help serve in whatever way is needed. ***For volunteers from divisions other than NAD, please work with your Division Volunteer Coordinator regarding important ticketing information with MTS Travel.
