Duties:     Responsible for the planning of vegetarian nutritional meals and the management of food services. Responsible for the training of local cafeteria personnel. Responsible for food preparation and kitchen tidiness. Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other meetings and events even after school; join in‐service sessions and workshops. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of normal load; will work in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration. Regularly attend weekend services and will assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder Club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door visits, prison ministry, Bible studies, and other outreach as needed…the ministries that can be joined in are extensive and many more could be led by you!)

Acceptable Dress: Men wear long pants (no jeans) during work but may wear shorts off campus or after school. Men must wear collared shirts to church meetings. Additional Information
Pohnpei State, one of 4 states in the country of the Federated States of Micronesia, consists of several beautiful tropical islands and atolls. Our Pohnpei SDA School is located on the main island, called Pohnpei, where the FSM capital is also located at the village of Palikir. Our campus contains housing for volunteer staff. This K-12 school is a blessing to over 300 students taught by AVS missionaries and local teachers. Important Orientation Information: This year, Guam Micronesia Mission is tentatively planning to host the SM orientation in Guam during the week of July 25th to 31st, 2021. Final detail activities of that week will be provided later. Most likely, all student missionaries will begin traveling to their designated schools Sunday and Monday, August 1st and 2nd. ***For volunteers from divisions other than NAD, please work with your Division Volunteer Coordinator regarding important ticketing information with MTS Travel. Division Volunteer Coordinator contact your respective GC coordinator for further information. Pay special attention to the visa information.
