Duties: |
1) Provide well-prepared spiritual/educational/recreational learning activities for a variable-sized (usually 12-20) group of children ages 4-12, one hour per day, up to five evenings a week, while their parents/caregivers are attending a Twelve-Step addiction recovery meeting.
2) Invite/motivate children and their families to participate in church-related activities such as home Bible studies, Sabbath services, Pathfinder Club.
3) Follow up with children/families by mail, texting, phone calls, home visits, personal relationships and home Bible studies where appropriate.
4) Involvement with children’s ministry on Sabbaths as needed, including children's Sabbath school leadership.
5) Keep the children's ministry meeting room clean and attractive, including adjacent rest room.
6) Involvement with Pathfinder Club as schedule permits.
7) If possible, initiate a Bible-based teen addiction-prevention meeting to be held concurrently with the meetings described in 1) above.
8) If possible, prepare short kids-oriented radio programs for weekly broadcast on a local station.
NOTE: Pandemic or post-pandemic adjustments are likely to be necessary. Also, Chinle Adventist Elementary School may need assistance from time to time or even routinely, depending on unpredictable circumstances.
