Duties:     Will be in charge of running the school cafeteria. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Plan and prepare lunches on school days for both elementary and high school students.
2. Acquire the provisions needed for creating these meals.
3. Maintain clean and neat working and eating environments in the kitchen and cafeteria, passing inspection/certification requirements as needed.
4. Maintain orderly records of purchases/expenditures and work with the accountant/administration to submit income on a meal-by-meal basis. Prepare and submit various reports to your local School Board as requested.
5. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Principal/School Board.
6. By precept and example seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and endeavor to lead students to a similar understanding.
7. Maintain proper control of the students’ behavior in the cafeteria, school grounds and premises in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook.
8. Create visual aids, posters and displays, thus supporting a positive healthy environment.
9. Undertake supervisory duties in rotation with other teachers as assigned by administration.
10. Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled and other required meetings and events even after school; join in‐service sessions and workshops in order to maintain or increase his/her level of skills.
11. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered as part of normal load; work in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin, and other directives set forth by the Board and administration.
12. Regularly attend weekend services and assist in church programs according to talents and abilities. (Sabbath School classes for all ages that need leaders and assistants, Pathfinder club, youth meetings during the week, door-to-door and prison ministries.) The ministries that can be joined in are extensive and many more could be led by you!

Acceptable Dress: Men work, teach and attend church in long pants (no jeans), but may wear shorts off campus or after school. Men must wear collared shirts to church meetings. During maintenance/construction duties volunteers may wear T-shirts and long jeans or pants that are non-frayed/worn out.
Unacceptable Dress:  A conservative hairstyle is preferred for men and women. Please refrain from bringing or wearing jewelry.

Visa/Travel Details: All non-USA citizens MUST be responsible for any Transit Visa (US/Guam, Philippines or any other country) for their airline ticket stops or layovers en route to their final destination. Direct any questions to the principal regarding any Entry Permit requirements. If needed, GMM can furnish a letter to take to your embassy. When flying to Ebeye, you will land at the Kwajalein U.S. Military base where you will need to clear security. Then you will need to take the free shuttle to the boat dock for Ebeye (the principal will meet you at the boat dock) and you will take a 30 min boat ride to Ebeye.

Ebeye is a small, heavily-populated island in the Kwajalein Atoll within the country of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Our 3-story PreK-12 school, serving over 300 students, is located in a small, fenced compound with an ocean view toward the east and within walking distance to the 2-story staff housing to the south. Visitors land on the nearby island of Kwajalein and then are transported by ferry to the pier at Ebeye. Important Orientation Information: Plan to arrive at Honolulu International Airport, Hawaii, on Friday, August 2, 2019, for Orientation meetings which begin at 6:15 p.m. that evening. Departure to your island school will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, on flight UA154, arriving on Thursday, August 8, 2019. ***For volunteers from divisions other than NAD, please work with your Division Volunteer Coordinator regarding important ticketing information with MTS Travel. Division Volunteer Coordinator contact your respective GC coordinator for further information. Pay special attention to the visa information.
