Duties:     The volunteer missionary accepted by the ACSCh should be between 23 and 35 years old, able to teach the English language, be a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Good standing, and demonstrate a strong sense of misión. The project is oriented toward young, single, female professionals without children, who have mastered both English and Spanish.
The volunteer missionary called by the Central South Chile Conference, as an English teacher, will collaborate in the following areas:
1. Provide English workshops and tutoring classes for primary and secondary students.
2. Offer English classes to the office members of the ACSCh.
3. Collaborate with the youth evangelism campaigns organized by the SDA youth of the ACSCh, primarily in the city of Gran Concepcíon; leading, involving, and equipping the youth; and organizing small groups and activities that promote the proclamation of the Gospel.
4. Support the School of Missions of the ACSCh, giving seminars and various training sessions.
5. Teach English in the Center of Influence in the city of Gran Concepción.
6. Help with activities in the ACSCh department of Pathfinders and Adventurers, specifically in the city of Gran Concepción.

Acceptable Dress: The volunteer should use appropriate clothing, according to Biblical principles and modern context. The volunteer will need formal clothing for work, worships, and formal meetings such as Bible studies and home visits, as well as casual and exercise clothing for free time. Warm clothing for winter is both recommended and advised.
Unacceptable Dress:  Unacceptable clothing is that which ignores Christian principles, values, and recommendations. (Women: Sleeveless blouses with straps, low necklines, extremely tight-fitting pants or leggings, painted nails, jewelry or piercings. Men: Sweatpants, sweatshirts, or shorts for work, jewelry or piercings.)

Lodging:   The volunteer’s residence Will be a rented house owned by the SDA church, or the home of a ACSCh worker. If there is space available, the volunteer will live in the ACSCh “House of Missionary Training,” in which case he or she should count on sharing public space with other residents and sharing a bathroom with members of the same gender. The period of service encompasses all four seasons. The temperate season lasts 3.3 months, from December 9 to March 19, and the average daily maximum temperature is above 21 ° C. The hottest day of the year is January 23, with an average maximum temperature of 23 ° C and an average minimum temperature of 12 ° C. The cool season lasts 3.7 months, from May 21 to September 10, and the average daily maximum temperature is below 15 ° C. The coldest day of the year is July 27, with an average minimum temperature of 6 ° C and an average maximum of 13 ° C.
