Duties:     Teaching English at different levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) at the Algiers Language Center five days a week with breaks, Monday to Friday. Volunteers should be able to work with either children, young people or adults. You would typically expect your class size to range from 5 to 15 students.
We are also looking for people with any or some of the following abilities: Marketing, music, student books manager, departmental coordination, class preparation, social events planning with the students, participate in strategic planning for the institution, etc. Volunteer Teachers will be able to utilize the resources provided. The Algiers Language Center is designed to operate within: Group Classes, Private Lessons, Enterprise Services and group conversation classes. Teachers will be able to work in the areas of their strength.

Acceptable Dress: Smart Casual attire recommended for work. Please remember that this location is in a conservative environment and inappropriate dress can be offensive: Women: Dresses or skirts well below the knee; jeans, capris, or dress pants; blouses, t-shirts, etc. Men: Jeans, slacks, dress shirts or t-shirts.
Unacceptable Dress:  Women: Nothing above the knee - no spaghetti strap/ sheer/low cut blouses, shirts or dresses. Men: No shorts for work, but shorts are acceptable outside of work hours.

Lodging:   At school. School is a multi-story building with the top and the first floor being designated for housing. Single rooms in two small apartments (genders are separated) with basic furniture provided. 30 minutes from downtown.

Visa/Travel Details: The volunteer will apply at the closest Algerian embassy presenting the school's official papers and a work invitation to obtain a business visa. The volunteer can be granted with a minimum of three months up to two years business visa. Once in Algeria the Calling Organization will process the visa extensions and/or temporary residence.

Additional Information
