Teaching Like Jesus

If we would teach like Jesus taught,
What great results we’d see.
But no one speaks like Jesus spoke,
For no one lives as He.

He spent much time in study,
He spent much time in prayer.
For dealing with the human mind,
Each teacher must prepare.

Christ drew His lessons from the fields,
From the mountains and the sea.
If we would teach like Jesus taught,
Use methods as did He!

Christ puts high value into life,
He puts rich meaning too,
And Christ put Holy purpose
Into everything we do.

Christ stirred imagination;
His lessons reached the heart.
Christ’s teaching was a science.
It’s still time’s noblest art!

When will we catch this vision?
When will we take the time?
To really teach as Jesus taught,
And do His work sublime?
