1. Can you answer most of the questions found on pp. 138-141 of Passport to Mission about the country you will be going to? If not, what are you doing about it? You NEED to know as much as you can about the place to which you're going. If possible, pick up a travel book about your country. The Lonely Planet and Culture Shock series are very good. And there are web sites that give you lots of information. Are you committed to learning as much as you can?

2. Write down the GC "hotline" number (found on Passport to Mission p. 146) someplace where you will be able to find it easily if you ever need it. And remember to register with the embassy of your country IMMEDIATELY when you arrive in your host country.

3. What is your favorite "missionary promise" (pp. 162-166)? Mark a few of these in your Bible to encourage you on bad days!
